Physio Art was first established in May 2004. At the time Sarah was working full time in an NHS Practice but started to treat the occasional private patient at home. She converted a spare room in to a clinic room and soon her patient caseload had multiplied and multiplied (mainly through word of mouth referral). A year or so later Sarah was able to give up other employment to concentrate solely on the development of Physio Art.
In June 2006 Physio Art moved out of home and into The University Medical Centre. By this stage Physio Art had grown big enough to take on an associate physiotherapist, and Caroline Spearing then joined the team.
Five years on we have treated hundreds and hundreds of patients. We have established good links with local GP’s, Consultants, Personal trainers, Podiatrists, Osteopaths and Sports Massage Therapists. Whilst we receive lots of new patients from these specialists we are proud to say that the majority of our new patients come through personal recommendations from previous patients.
Our most recent development is the welcoming of Anthony Meehan onto the team at Physio Art. Anthony works as a physiotherapist with a local athletics club and is looking forward to clinic based work on site at Physio Art. He has completed the Lanzarote Ironman competition and we look forward to utilizing his experience and expertise in training methods, fitness assessments and sports injury prevention and rehabilitation.
