Physio Art provide a range of physiotherapy services in and around Edgbaston, Birmingham.
We have a mission
Our aim is to enable you to understand your injury or pain, so that you can take an active part in its treatment.
It's all about control! We want to put you in the driving seat you see. Once you understand your pain, injury or dysfunction you will be better equipped to manage it in the short term and you will be more able to prevent it from coming back and biting you on the bum in the long term!
We do this by taking a lot of time on your initial session finding out about you, your injury, its history and its behaviour and how it makes you feel. (That last bit is important, how you feel about your pain has a huge effect on how your pain feels)
Once we've worked out what the cause of the problem is we'll explain it to you and together we'll decide on a plan of action.
Your treatment may involve some hands-on treatment such as massage or manipulation, some acupuncture or some rehab exercises to address the underlying causes. (Pilates is good for this bit)
Together we will work it out. We believe in teamwork too, and regularly receive referrals and send our patients to musculo-skeletal doctors, sports massage therapists, a personal trainer, a great podiatrist, and an equally great osteopath. So if we can't help you on our own, we'll do our best to help find you someone who can.
