

Pilates is used to it's full potential at Physio Art. Our physiotherapy assessment enables us to identify your particular need and then a customised Pilates programme can be established that's specific to you.
Postural variations… over training in certain sports…. having a baby….sitting at a desk all day….These are just a few factors that can cause a person to develop imbalances in the muscular system. Pilates is a perfect tool to help iron out those imbalances and create a finely tuned and efficiently running body.
Physio Art offers both Pilates Matwork, ie. floor based exercise, and equipment based exercise. The equipment based exercise uses specially developed machinery designed to assist in offering stability, strength and flexibility exercises.
We teach Pilates on a one:one basis and in small groups. One to one supervision gives you a really good headstart and ensures that not only are the exercises tailored to you but also that 'you really do get it' (It's very easy to cheat, which at best means you will receive no benefit but at worst will cause injuries) Once you have learnt the fundamental principles with us on a one:one basis we can then advise you on joining a group session
